School Tours
You can schedule your school visit by calling 337-233-4077, ext. 206 or using our on-line reservation request.
Click here to make a reservation for your school tour. Remember that our hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, your tour is not officially booked until you receive a confirmation from us.
Field Trips at Vermilionville
Admission to Vermilionville is $4/student as part of a group of 20 or more
Complimentary admission:
Bus Driver and 1 Adult with every 10 students
All other adults who pay as group of 20 or more/- $6.00 each (tax included)
Included in admission price is a self-guided tour of Vermilionville and a guided tour of our Watershed Exhibit. The Watershed Exhibit can accommodate 15 students at a time and takes about 45 minutes.
Additional Options:
Guided Vermilionville Tour: Schedule a tour guide to take your group through the village. We suggest one tour guide for every class. Our guides are knowledgeable about the architecture, plant life, and lifestyles represented in our village. Each tour guide is an additional cost of $25.
Boat Tour: The boat tour can accommodate 15 students at a time (minimum of 6)and lasts for 1 1/2 hours. A ride on the Cocodrie is an additional cost of $4 per student--$12 for adults. Shorter boat tours for a discounted price can also be arranged.

Cooking School Schedule 30 min per 40 students Add $2/student
Dance Lessons Schedule 30 min per 25 students Add $2/student
Bag or Hot lunch Schedule 30 min Add $6/student

Environmental Package
60 students maximum; 4.5 hour visit, half-hour lunch time scheduled
4 groups of students will rotate between the following four stations:
· Watershed Exhibit tour
· 45 minute Boat Tour of the Bayou Vermilion on the Cocodrie
· Vermilionville village tour - with tour guide or self-guided
· Enviroscape or Water quality station

$12/person with bag or hot lunch provided
